Cat’s fluoxetine un-refrigerated?
My cat has been on fluoxetine for the past month and a half. She takes 0.1ml a day, but we’re weaning her off it. It is a chicken flavored liquid and needs to be refrigerated. I am moving with her tomorrow and we have an 8 hour travel day. I completely forgot about her meds needing refrigeration and now I’m in a bind. I can grab an icepack from the grocery store if needed, but that’s pretty much my only option. When I look it up, it says fluoxetine can be kept at room-temp, so I’m guessing it’s just the flavoring that needs refrigeration. Is it okay to go a full day out of the fridge? I’m putting it in a yeti bottle that has been in the freezer, so it should keep it cold for at least an hour. I don’t really know what else I can do. It will be in the checked luggage so I don’t need to deal with tsa.
