We’re living through the age of delusion, aren’t we?

I’ve finished reading this book so-called How to Love Someone without Losing your mind.

And it’s kind of funny to realize that we are living through the age of delusion (?) specifically on dating.

Let me guess, 8 out of 10 people right now are currently single. With different reasons, and priorities in life of course. But you could see some of them on the dating app, sub reddits, with specific traits of the person they wanted to date with.

Most of us, sobrang specific na nang hinahanap, at sobrang naumpog ako to realize na oo nga noh. Are we some sort of delusional??? Made me realize na parang ever since we were a child or during the adolescent period, sobrang programmed tayo sa mga fantasy love stories and madalas sobrang invested na natin na sana ganun ang mangyari sa buhay natin. Pero if you would ask married people, pano sila nag kakilala or naging mag asawa. Most of them sobrang “non-fictional” nang story.

Ewan ko ba, agree ba kayo? Bakit nga ba sa henerasyon natin ngayon, ganun na? Isang red flag, ghost na agad. Isang trait na di swak, ghost na agad. Bakit lagi nating hinahanap yung “perfect one” among the pool of “good enough”
