Wtf is up with these car insurance prices? $2,500/A MONTH WITH GEICO?!

I’m not a new driver. I know they’re factors that make the price of auto insurance go up.. but i’m quoted anywhere between $900 (Honda Accord) to $2,500 (Tesla model Y) A MONTH. A. M O N T H. Are they insane ? How tf is this possible? How are they charging me more for car insurance vs the actual car payment? I’ve been a driver for 7 years, spit clean driving record. No tickets, no claims, NOTHING. and i’m hit with 1k a month MINIMUM. Geico seems to be the only company offering me a quote online… does anyone have any suggestions? Should I bite the bullet and pay 1k a month just for 6 months? I mean eventually they’ll have to decrease the price, right? This is all so super discouraging.
