My boyfriend threw my phone at me

I told my boyfriend how tomatoes that are CUT shouldn’t sit out as they will go bad and he said no. So I looked it up and showed him that they do. I kept saying how it’s not a big deal and how I’m just warning him how it will go bad. He then threw my phone at me, then throw was light and only hurt a second. He was close too and didn’t do it hard but it hurt me emotionally a lot. He’s recently had surgery so I know he’s had it tough but this isn’t the first time he couldn’t control his anger. For example he’s told me to shut up before and he blames his anger a lot on his bipolar 2. I’m scared for our 3 year relationship. I also have relationship OCD so relationship doubt is normal. I love him so much tho and hoping we can fix this and he can work on his anger like he said he would. Anyone have any advice? :(
