How does one deal with abandonment issues?

I've experienced this a lot lately. Either someone close to me or a stranger with whom I have a whole hearted conversation suddenly ghosts me. I know some people use virtual world as a stress relief but when they first initiate the talks with the intention of never ghosting and then do it anyways, what's when the issue starts. I certainly can't take it anymore. Sometimes I have this urge of suddenly disappearing but that's not me. How do you guys deal with such people or instances?
