Current climate of prejudice

Is it just me being blissfully ignorant in the past when scrolling or has there been a lot of hatred coming to the surface lately in the number of comments online ?!?

I can’t help but feel of late I’ve been seeing more and more blatantly racist, xenophobic, homophobic or transphobic opinions being thrown about unchecked in comments sections of the main social media platforms lately?

Like… my own online cultural followings of course reflect who I am as a white British gay guy of 35. But I just can’t help but see lately there’s a massive increase in what I’m seeing in the way of hate speech.

Is it just me? Surely it’s not just me.
