Red Flag or not?

The other day me and one of my prospects were speaking about Mumbai house helps. We agreed that most house helps (female) had an alcoholic and abusive husbands. She claimed that her house help has marks all over her face and arms when she comes home. I said to her (just to test waters) that why don't you ask her to file domestic violence case against her husband. She says that she vehemently asks her to do the same.

Now my question is, I do understand that this is a genuine case but do you feel this girl would be the filing case kind of a girl? Honestly, I would have liked it better had she said that filling a case would be a farfetched and things should have been solved through mediation.
