God are the AI atrocious

Look, it's a Bohemia game. I get it. They come with all sorts of issues. I get it. But holy mother of God, are the AI so genuinely awful sometimes.

I just had to quit before I got too upset, because in my solo scenario, these guys have got to be the stupidest AI I've ever played with. I try and group them, and then they just... Don't follow orders? They just stand there like a bunch of idiots? Then sometimes I tell them to hop on a vehicle and they just can't figure it out? Or even better, they turn a 180 into the FUCKING WOODS TO GO WHO KNOWS WHERE????

Like if I wasn't actively trying to wrangle them, it would be hilarious. But this is so UNBELIEVABLY frustrating after awhile man. Are they aware? Is there a fix? Tips? Like something, PLEASE
