Advice?

I am really interested in film and tv/ theatre production however realise the opportunities in this are few and far between. I would preferably be based in london. I have only managed to find about 3 possible opportunities and after reading up on many people’s unsuccessful stories I’m beginning to lose hope. Does anyone have any advice on how to stand out in the application process? Any tips on how to not immediately fumble it etc? I really feel like this is my last chance to get into the industry as i failed the school system and I’m not doing fabulous in college either… i really just want to be doing something i love and for things to pick up again. Alternatively if anyone has come across any opportunities in this field please let me know! I have tried BBC, channel 4 and ITV etc along with a handful of theatres but nobody seems to have much going. Thanks :)
