Alprazolam and A Cocktail

So, the title kind of sums it up. I have been prescribed 1mg alprazolam three times a day for the past 4 years, I've been on it for a total of 10 years, and in my early days I would go out to bars and get way too drunk with my friends while on it. I stopped drinking for a few years (no particular reason), but I'm renovating my loft into a home bar/library/pipe-smoking room. I wanted to get everyone's thoughts on having a cocktail (no more than 2oz of liquor) at the end of the work day, pretty much smack dab in between my last two doses of meds for the day. I do truly love mixology, but of course the minute you type "xanax and alcohol" into Google, you get the common "YOU'RE GOING TO STOP BREATHING AND DIE" or "YOU NEED TO COME TO OUR DETOX CLINIC IN MALIBU FOR $50K A NIGHT IMMEDIATELY". Not really looking for reassurance, per se, just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat where they enjoy a cocktail even while prescribed xanax?
