An interesting look at the inside of a Kine Exakta, the first practical 35mm SLR released in 1936

I don't know about you, but I like seeing what makes a camera tick(or click, rather...). I had to get inside this Kine Exakta to service the slow speed timer, and spent a few minutes just looking at the inside of the camera. The Kine Exakta was the first 35mm SLR camera in the form we recognize now: Thumb advance, automatic mirror return(when cocking the camera as opposed to a separate control to return the mirror), good range of shutter speeds, etc., so it's pretty interesting seeing the earliest successful attempt at shrinking the SLR design
