What’s the deal with season 3?

Hi guys, I’m new to this sub but I watched the show as it came out. I’ve been hearing a lot about a season 3 due to the hype of squid game 2 and I can’t possibly think how they can continue the story??? There’s no manga left and it had a conclusive ending. Is this just fans reaching or is it actually true 😭

I just don’t want them to ruin the show man
