Rent gouging landlords

It’s getting bad to worse in the Capital District. I’m seeing $2300 and up in areas that have a high crime rate and that shouldn’t be. Like really??? And they wonder why people are on the streets. Somethings gotta be done. Plus the apts are not updated but are asking for all this money. Where is codes and the city council when you need them ?? Where is the press when you need them as well?? Next thing I know it’s gonna be $5000 on Pearl St. Smh
