Domestic violence among guests. Now what?
Hey fellow hosts, last night police got involved in one of my cabins as the woman of the couple called 911 for help. After some 4 hours or so, everybody went back to the cabins and police left. They are checking out today, but now I wonder how I, as a host, should handle the situation.
Should I report the event to airbnb? Can I ban these people from renting again? (we live on the property)
Suggestions and previous experiences are much appreciated. Thanks!
Edit: in case you're still following, or found this thread. Here is what happened 1. I reported them to AirBnB, since there were items missing and I lost another guest because of them 2. When I told them of this they got extremely belligerant, threatening to come here and all that. I told them I'd call the police if they did, and readied my gun. 3. For the sake of tranquillity and to avoid they'd scare away my current new set of guests, I let the refund go. AirBnB btw did exactly nothing, as you would expect 4. I'm gonna leave a review detailing the event as well as their response when the issue got raised. I'm gonna wait 'til the last day hoping they don't have time to retaliate a bad rating. 5. gun is still ready.
What a fun business to be in
