Should I talk to parent about assisted living and how so?

Basically i’m 26 and living with roommates and it has been peaceful and in a nice house. my dad 72 just got a divorce and was living with my step mom. Once the house sells he plans to get a house by himself. He called me today because he is sick (not life threatening sick he has a stomach virus right now so it got him thinking) and said that when he moves out I really need to come live with him so I can help take care of him. Although I wouldn’t have to pay bills I just lowkey feel like it’s uprooting me from my life. Going from living with my friends to back with my dad Is making me feel very sad. He can’t cook on the stove anymore, he has really bad knees so he uses a walker and scooter, and he has been bed ridden before . how would you talk to your parents about assisted living perhaps or AITA for feeling like him asking me this is uprooting me.
