Aeroplan points via Visa card

So I currently have the td visa infinite aeroplan card. I am thinking about upgrading to the infinite privilege card. I would get 65,000 aeroplan points over the space of year if I hit their spending levels (which I will). So in essence I would be paying $900 ($599-$139 x2) to get these points. If I was to buy the equivalent amount of points straight from aeroplan with current bonuses it would cost approx $1300. Trying to decide if it’s worth. Wife and I are planning long haul trips using ac partners (j class) so that is what the points would be put towards.
