Crusade Rules Outdated?
There was some talk at my club about running a crusade in the new year, so I started reading through our crusade rules. I know that our codex is rubbish and that crusade rules don't really get updated, but a few things stood out to me as redundant, namely:
- The 'Obscuroptikon' Archeotech Techno-Arcana -- gives 2 infantry units a 5++ against ranged attacks. This seems to only have an effect on Kataphrons, and though not entirely useless, that does seem somewhat limited.
- The 'Cold Logic' Agenda -- very deployment zone reliant. Again not useless, and here at least you can choose not to take it, unlike the archeotech where you roll randomly.
- 'Enhanced Bionics' Battle Trait for infantry/mounted -- specifically giving battleline only the 5++ instead of 4++ when skittles already get 5++.
- 'Exemplar's Eternity' Relic for Marshall -- gives unit its leading reroll 1s to hit and wound. Marshall already gives full rerolls to hit.
Some of these I remember the buff we received to make them redundant, but not all.
Overall, do you think it would be reasonable to make some changes to any of these options and suggest them to my group? Or is that not really necessary when most can just not be chosen, and the archeotech does still have a use - even limited as it is.
