Is accounting underpaid for the amount of hours worked?
Been considering going into accounting as I'm currently military and can get schooling for free, but looking at starting positions for accounting jobs in my High cost of living area it seems they are barely in the 60-75 range which seems not only low for the area, but low for anything that requires a 4 year degree.
Then reading through posts on here about 60-80+ hour work weeks on top of that, as someone who just wants to have a semblance of my work/life balance back while also being able to breach into 100k+/yr is accounting not the correct path for me?
