AITAH for wanting the grocery store checkout person to bag my groceries?

Here in town we have a grocery store called 'No Frills' and like the name implies, there are no extras. You bag your own groceries, the products are all super cheap.

If I go there, I know what to expect. I stay away because I'm terrible at bagging my groceries. It stresses me out to frantically bag while the next person is being put through. Im just bad at it as well. ADHD, OCD generalized anxiety.

Anyways. We have an expensive grocery store, and lately they have been getting me to bag my own groceries there as well. There is a young cashier that will smirk at me until I bag them myself, taking pleasure in the visible frustration im having.

I stay away from her.

Today, I saw a lovely 50 year old woman cashier and figured she'd take care of the bagging without issue. I asked for bags (as we now pay for them if we dont bring any) and she put through my items. I had a plan if it didn't go how I wanted it to.

She looked up at me about 3/4 done and said,

'Yeah I gave you bags sir. Right there. If you could..'

I immediately enacted my 'plan'.

'Oh shoot, you know what I forgot something, is it alright if I pop down that aisle and come back? Sorry, thanks!'

'Uh..siggghh...yes.'

I then went and pretended to look for something (like a child) for two minutes while she bagged everything.

'Ah, they didnt have it. Alright, what do I owe you? Wow, 200 dollars. Ok.'

'mmmhmm...'

She was annoyed.

Now, I'm clearly a bit of an asshole. Immature. Lazy. Autistic?

But is anyone else dealing with this? Little things that employees of various places used to do automatically, now falls on the customer. I'm paying higher prices than ever!

And yes, they are not being paid fairly. But...this is like one of the main parts of the job? Be courteous, knowledgeable, quick, and bag the groceries. Oh sure I may help out a bit, but the majority of the bagging should be done by them, no?

So AITAH?
