GoldenEye premiered on this day in 1995. It was the first 007 film starring Pierce Brosnan and also the first 007 film set in a post-Cold War world. It was a box office hit and received favorable reviews from critics, and a couple of years later it would be adapted into a hit Nintendo 64 game.
