James the Psychotherapist pissed me off reacting to Rob's outburst
Someone tell me why is it that when Sophie walked off during the rock exercise before it started, he chased her down and talked her into coming back, but then when Rob does it, he makes excuses for it?
"When people don't know how to handle their emotions... it's that fight or flight 'I need to go'. So he made the best move for himself and potentially his relationship in that moment."
We can all agree that Sophie walks away too much in the past - now she's starting NOT to and standing up for herself, and because she called him out on his bad behavior behind the scenes, he's the one throwing a complete baby tantrum and storming off. Yet James said not a word about how Rob was literally screaming at her, cursing her out, and said word for word, "I don't fucking care about you" while she was still fairly calm - instead James just made it seem like he made this decision for their own good.
No, walking away is not actually the best move if you say a ton of hurtful and shitty things on your way out... His last words before exiting the bus were "Cause I'm so fucking terrible", the mother of all manipulation phrases. He does something to upset her, she reacts and expresses that she can hear him and it hurts her feelings, and now she's the problem for riling him up instead of letting it go, so he exaggerates her accusation to try and make her feel delusional and over the top.
At least the sex therapist pointed out that Gino was using sex as a manipulation tactic, and is being honest about people's garbage personality traits.
I'm about 99.9% positive the real reason Rob lost his shit was because he got mad, cursed her out, and then got even more upset about the fact that he knew his carefully constructed mask finally slipped off and now people can see what he's really like when he's not playing calm for the cameras.
