H4a1a1a Haplogroup

Hi! This is literally my first Reddit post and I JUST got my 23andMe results. From a quick glance it appears that’s not super common? Can anyone give me a general “for dummies” explanation of the significance of a haplogroup and what does it mean if I find someone with the same group? Are we related? Thanks!
