Police Want to Verify My Cannabis Prescription After Issuing a Section 8 Warning. A Bit Weird, But Okay…

I’m in a bit of an odd situation here. The police and council have been attending my property a few times due to complaints and have smelt cannabis coming from inside. After receiving a Section 8 warning, I asked them to remove it, explaining that I have a medical cannabis prescription for anxiety.

Surprisingly, they’ve now asked to come to my place and verify my prescription in person!

I’ve agreed to show them the necessary paperwork. While I get that they need to verify it, I can’t help but feel it’s a bit much.

Has anyone else had this kind of request from the police? I get that they have a job to do, but it still feels a little strange that they want to come all the way here just to see my prescription.
