Is iPhone/Apple spying on me? This is really creepy...

My iPhone keeps turning on the camera when I set it down, I've done so many updates and restarts but still the same issue. I know its Apple because apps have to make it known when they are using my camera and I have seen Meta/Instagram do it. I was able to turn the camera off until I'm ready to post on IG but for iPhone and keep Mark Zuckerburg and company at bay with this simple switch, but I cannot seem to get Apple to stop being creepy.

The last straw was when I was nursing my baby. I do not think they or the camera saw anything but I'm not to sure. I'm ready to switch to Android for a peace of mind but before I do, has anyone had this issue? Were you able to turn it off?
