Samsung HW-Q90R Audio Delay after Pause
I've done some research and found on other sites it seems many others have this same sort of problem on many other soundbars and it seems like most just live with it but ya never know...
My Q90R 4K UHD TV is connected to the HW-Q90R Soundbar via HDMI ARC and my Apple TV 4K is connected to the Soundbar.
Anytime I pause a video or there's quiet, when un-pausing and/or when the audio would normally resume there's a very miniscule ~1s delay of silence as the action on screen resumes as normal and it leads to missed speech.
I just wanna clarify it is not a syncing issue. It has to do with the soundbar seeming to receive a delayed signal when audio resumes leading to a second of silence. After that second there are absolutely no syncing issues. It is only directly after paused/quiet moments.
It happens when using the Apple TV 4K as well as the native Samsung TV apps. Another example, on the Apple TV when browsing apps/settings they make a clicking noise, if I stop on one for a few seconds then swipe over to the other side there's no audio where there would be the first few clicks.
I've fiddled with all the sync options ( on soundbar and TV, even though there's no actual sync problem), resetting, changing wires, sound mode, etc... Everything is up to date but I have no clue what could be causing this. I would say it reminds me of Eco Mode on Vizio soundbars but as far as I can tell there is no Eco sort of option, no auto sleep/off mode, no auto standby or anything like that.
