A better filament editor?
Now that Orca Slicer is breaking out on its own, it might be the best time to suggest a better filament editor than what was previously available in Bambu Studio.
Bambu Studio's method of setting up a filament always seemed really counter intuitive to me, even doing something as simple as giving a name to the filament appears to have been made deliberately difficult. I would like to suggest perhaps exploring adding a UI to more easily build filament profiles and also some quality of life things like;
- Being able to declare what is on the external spool holder from the prepare screen.
- Being able to export filament profiles.
- Not be limited to the filament type presets.
- Be nice to be able to also drop in store URLs for filaments that we purchase often.
- Edit renaming "Assemble" to "Group", because assemblies are something entirely different.
Just a thought.
