How to tone down bright yellow interior (pictures and deeper explanation below)
Please ignore the mess and touch ups I need to do. ☺️🙏So I was excited to be able to paint my apt and I chose fall leave colors and decided on kitchen being yellow and I love the idea of accenting walls and doing two walls one color and other two darker yellow, I chose yellows pretty close to each other just a bit darker and I already have it on the walls and am not liking how bright the yellow is. I don’t want to have to do three more coats and was wondering if there was a different approach vs buying more paint. (I still have like a quarter gallon left but I also have a purple and a lighter purple left) could I maybe sponge the whole wall with the light purple, add a rectangle/square with the light purple (seen something like it in minimalistic interior painting), spray frosted glass spray on the one big yellow wall with the light purple? Even though I have two colors pretty close but still two diff colors would it look okay to do purple minimalistic idea or what do you guys think would be best. Right now it’s giving McDonald’s vibes. I’ll post some pictures of the kitchen colors so far and also of the purple in bathroom for reference.
