How to harvest arks

Ok, I might be dumb but I just can't seem to figure out how to harvest the drake. Someone on here said the codex explains what you need to do but for the life of me I can't see where. Is there like a site that explains his how for each ark? Or can someone explain the codex thing like I'm a toddler?
