Me vs my symptoms
I told my therapist I often avoid longer walking because it becomes painful and itchy after 15 minutes. And that it ruins my life. My therapist told me to not let my symptoms be in charge of what I do, to not let them dictate what I do on a daily basis. I need to try and be in charge of me, instead of my pain/symptoms.
Did your therapist ever tell you this and how did you manage to take control back instead of letting your symptoms control you?
